About
The data layer is not finished. Vantage is building what comes next.

Vantage was built on a problem every large enterprise has but few talk about publicly: the data infrastructure running beneath their most critical systems was assembled over years by different teams with different priorities and it had never been designed as a whole. It worked, most of the time, until it did not. When it failed, the cost was not measured in downtime. It was measured in decisions made on bad data, by people who did not know the data was bad. Vantage's founders had spent years debugging exactly these situations at scale and had designed a fundamentally different approach to how enterprise data pipelines are constructed and maintained.
NorthBridge had been watching the data infrastructure space closely since the shift toward real-time enterprise systems accelerated in 2020. The gap between what enterprises needed and what the incumbent tools could deliver was widening, and the founding teams building credible alternatives were rare. Vantage was the most technically rigorous team we had seen in the space. We led the seed round and followed on at Series A.
We expected a typical VC process. What we got was a partner who had already mapped the competitive landscape in our space and had a point of view on our architecture before we had explained it. That kind of preparation signals something. We knew this was the right firm before the term sheet arrived.

Why We Invested
Infrastructure Built for What Enterprises Actually Need
Data infrastructure is a space where the gap between what gets funded and what enterprises actually need has historically been wide. Most of the market has competed on integrations and dashboards. Vantage competed on correctness and reliability at the layer beneath. That is a harder thing to sell and a much harder thing to build. It is also the thing that does not get replaced once it is embedded.
The founders brought a rare combination: systems-level thinking, deep enterprise credibility, and product instincts sharpened by years of working inside the problem they were solving. We backed the team before the product was complete. The thesis was sound and the people were exceptional. That is enough.
